TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF BOOKING
1. Payments. Full payment is required within 14 days of making your reservation to secure the booking. If you have to cancel your booking, the amount is refundable, less any cancellation fees (see 3 below).
Please note: Your booking will only be retained until 5.00pm on the payment due date.
2. Alterations. Any change to a booking once payment (in full or deposit) has been made will incur an $12.00 administration fee.
3. Cancellations. Once payment has been received, booking cancellations incur the following fees:
More than 14 nights prior to occupancy: $30.00 per unit
3-14 nights prior to occupancy: $60.00 per unit
2 nights or less prior to occupancy: full payment will be retained
Notice of cancellation in peak period times and group bookings is required in writing.
4. Ballot Period: Additional terms and conditions apply during ballot periods. These include a cancellation fee of $100 per booking and other booking conditions. Details can be found at the time of applying for the ballot.
5. Bonds. Bonds are applicable for group bookings and at certain periods, and must be paid no later than 14 days before arrival.
6. Refunds. Refunds can take up to 21 days to process. Refunds will be made in the name of the registered guest and by cheque only.
7. Bookings. Bookings are not transferable and information relating to bookings will not be released to a third party under any circumstances. The registered guest must be over 18 years old and be present in the accommodation throughout the duration of the booking. Photo identification will be required when the key is collected.
8. Occupancy limits.
Tents: Maximum two tents and a total of 6 people per site.
Cabins and Kingstown : Only one person allowed per bed. Additional beds are not available.
Units: Maximum of one person per bed provided plus 50% (e.g. in a 4 bed unit, the maximum number of people must not exceed 6).
9. Privacy statement. The Rottnest Island Authority is committed to improving customer service. As part of this commitment, customer satisfaction research is conducted from time to time. We appreciate your time, and will respect your privacy. Any information provided will be passed on to a market research organisation for purposes of continuous improvement only.
10. Quiet times. All visitors are required to respect the rights of others to enjoy the Island at all times, and to adhere to quiet hours as follows: 11pm to 7am in all areas. 9pm to 9am in Kingstown and Governors' Circle.
11. Credit Card Surety. It is a condition of tenancy that the occupant provides a valid credit card pre-authorisation to the Authority and agrees to allow any cost for wish they are liable under the tenancy, or any statute to be levied against this credit.
12. Breach of Terms and Conditions: Any breach by the registered guest or other occupants of the accommodation will result in immediate cancellation of tenancy without refund.
