The Environmental Awareness Course is designed to enable teachers, community leaders and members of the public to increase their awareness and appreciation of Rottnest Island, and to assist in planning and conducting effective education programs on the Island.
The course runs over two days (Friday and Saturday) and includes a bike tour to explore Rottnest Island, a snorkelling experience, an introduction to the environmental conservation and management of the Island, and a look at its unique heritage.
The cost of the course includes return ferry fare, accommodation at Kingstown Barracks, all meals, bike hire, a comprehensive information package and an Environmental Awareness Course T-shirt.
Completion of the Environmental Awareness Course entitles participants to a group accommodation discount. The group must be willing to participate in a community service activity during their stay. This discount is not applicable during school holiday periods.
