Rottnest Island can be reached by a short ferry ride from the mainland.

Ferry companies offer travel to Rottnest Island from Hillarys Boat Harbour, Perth City, North Fremantle (Rous Head) and Fremantle (Victoria Quay).

The journey takes approximately 25 minutes from Fremantle, 45 minutes from Hillarys or 90 minutes from Perth's Barrack Street Jetty.
