Rottnest Island Management Plan 2009-14

In accordance with the Rottnest Island Authority Act 1987, the Rottnest Island Authority is required to have a five-year management plan to guide the management of the Island.

The Rottnest Island Management Plan 2009-2014 (RIMP) (pdf 8MB) was gazetted on 30 June 2009.

The RIMP was based on two rounds of community input – an invitation to comment early in preparation of the draft RIMP to identify issues and opportunities, and two months community and stakeholder consultation on the draft RIMP.

All submissions were considered and the draft RIMP was amended to take account of community comment.  A probity auditor, Stantons International (pdf 519KB), was engaged to ensure all submissions were fairly considered.

The RIMP will guide the Rottnest Island Authority’s management of Rottnest Island from 2009 to 2014.
