Rottnest Island Discovery Tour is the Island's popular coach tour and includes full commentary from a coach captain on many aspects of the Island's unique history, environment, heritage and wildlife, as well as up-to-date information on new developments and activities on Rottnest.
Wadjemup Lighthouse and the West End are two of the highlights of this popular tour.
The tour takes approximately 90 minutes and departs daily from the Main Bus Stop on Rottnest Island.
Time: Tour departs daily from the bus stop in Thomson Bay at 11.30am and 1.30pm.

Join us on the ‘Captain Hussey’ and enjoy the scenic train ride to picturesque Oliver Hill for a guided tour of the massive 9.2 inch diameter guns and tunnel system that forms part of Rottnest Island’s significant military heritage.
The Train departs from the Settlement Railway Station and tickets are available at the Rottnest Island Visitor and Information Centre.

A conducted one hour tour, over one of the restored World War II 9.2 inch guns and maze of underground tunnels. Discover why they were installed on Rottnest and how they operated. Either cycle (20 minutes) or walk (45 minutes) to Oliver Hill. Alternatively, you can take the train that links up with the guided tours and departs from the Settlement train station (fares apply and can include entry).

Pilots were stationed on Rottnest Island between 1848 and 1903 to guide ships safely around the Island's dangerous reefs. This free walk to the Bathurst Lighthouse involves enthralling tales of the exploits of the Pilots and crew on Rottnest. The tour incorporates the pilot crew accommodation, the boathouse and replica pilot boat.
