Wristbands for land-based accommodation
All guests including registered adults will be required to wear an accommodation wristband which is also the wristband for Leavers staying on the Island to access all day and night activities. After checking in at the Visitors Centre, Leavers and their registered adult will be given their wristbands.
Wristbands for marine-based accommodation
If crews and vessel-based visitors wish to access Island services such as the G-Store and food outlets after working hours they must provide proof of vessel based accommodation and wear a wristband.
Charter boat operators can download a pre-registration form (pdf 75KB) to arrange for accommodation wristbands for their crew only. Passengers on charter boats will have to register at the Visitor Centre to receive accommodation wristbands which will verify their status and will need to provide the registration and mooring number of the vessel they are staying on.
They will need to be accompanied by the skipper and have proof that they are 2009 Leavers.
Private vessels
The passengers, accompanied by the vessels’ competent operator must register at the Visitor Centre to receive vessel-based accommodation/entertainment wristbands. You will need to provide the registration number of the boat and mooring number.
Please note the definition of Competent Operator as defined by Rottnest Island Regulation 13

Anyone found on the Island after the last commercial ferry has left without a wristband will be asked to provide proof of legitimate accommodation or will be removed from the Island at their own cost.
Wrist bands are not transferable and replacements will only be supplied on provision of proof of destruction and ID verification. Please enquire at the Visitors Centre for more information.
All Leavers staying in RIA accommodation will be able to access Leavers activities and entertainment with the wristband issued upon checking in.
For those staying in marine-based accommodation, you will need to buy an entertainment/accommodation wristband to gain entry to the day activities and evening entertainment areas.
