While the State Government has announced easing of restrictions for some businesses and regional travel, Rottnest Island and its surrounding marine reserve will continue to remain closed to overnight guests, day visitors and boaters for the foreseeable future, in accordance with the Rottnest Island Closure Directions issued by the State Emergency Coordinator.

Failure to comply with these Closure Directions is punishable by a fine.  All boaters, including moorings licensees, authorised users and those with rental moorings bookings must have removed their vessels from the Reserve by 12 noon Thursday 26 March 2020.

Recreational fishers who have crayfish pots set in waters off Rottnest Island may receive restricted access to the area's exclusion zone to collect their equipment, under supervision from Rottnest Island Authority Rangers. Access is to retrieve equipment only and you must first register your request by contacting 9372 9788 or rangers@rottnestisland.com

More information on this restricted access is available here

For those wishing to make future bookings, please refer to further information here.

We thank you for your understanding and look forward to welcoming you back to Rottnest Island as soon as we can.
