Island Couple's Retreat

These two private and charming beachfront suites are available for your next island getaway. Located on the front row of Longreach Bay, they're so close to the ocean you could practically toss a pebble into the tranquil waters from your balcony. 

Ideally suited to couples on their honeymoon or those wanting a romantic escape, each suite includes a queen size bed and a host of extras including a large day-bed in the courtyard and a coffee machine, wine cooler and bar fridge in the kitchen. An audio system coupled with a unique changing room add to the uniqueness of these quality suites. 

The Couple's Retreats are self-contained and fully equipped with a TV, heater, ceiling fans, cutlery, crockery and gas BBQ.  

The Shuttle bus to Geordie's Bay, Longreach Bay, Fay's Bay and Kingstown Barracks now attracts a small per person fee of $3 per day or $5 per week. Children under 5 years travel free.

Units are self-contained and fully equipped with a TV, lounge, heater, linen, cutlery, crockery and gas BBQ.

The Shuttle bus to Geordie Bay, Longreach Bay, Fay's Bay and Kingstown Barracks attracts a small per person fee of $3 per day or $5 per week. Children under 5 years travel free.

Rottnest Island has seven Premium units that facilitate access for people with mobility impairment. These are located in Central Thomson Bay (two units), Thomson Bay South (one unit), Geordie Bay (one unit), Longreach Bay (three units) and Bathurst (one unit). Heritage View Cottages

Discover Rottnest Island’s history with a stay in one of our heritage-listed cottages - each a treasured piece of history. 

Those staying in Heritage View cottages can enjoy waking up to a stunning view of the sparkling Indian Ocean. 

Heritage View cottages include the original lighthouse keeper’s cottage at Bathurst Point, accommodation for the colonial settlement in the late 1800s in North Thomson Bay (with a handful located on Vincent Way - one of the oldest intact streets in Australia) and the cherished Kingstown Heritage View cottages which have spectacular panoramic ocean views from the doorstep. Built for commanding officers stationed on Rottnest during WWII, Kingstown Heritage View cottages are spacious and fitted out to reflect the status of the original occupants.

Authentically restored Art Deco buildings, Kingstown Heritage View cottages are ideal with polished wooden floorboards, a large verandah overlooking the sea and a comfortable outdoor seating area perfect for enjoying warm sunny days. 

Laid out with 3 bedrooms (each containing 2 single beds which can be made up as a king-sized bed if requested 48 hours in advance), a well-appointed kitchen and a separate living and dining area.

Cottages are self-contained and fully equipped with a TV, lounge, heater, linen, cutlery, crockery and gas BBQ.

Heritage Cottages

Discover Rottnest Island’s history with a stay in one of our heritage-listed cottages - each a treasured piece of history.

Heritage Cottages are perfect for those who wish to discover the Island's history while being in in close proximity to the beaches, but who aren't fussy about enjoying direct ocean views. Heritage cottages are located in North Thomson Bay and date back to the colonial settlement in the late 1800s. A couple of Heritage Cottages are located on Vincent Way - one of the oldest intact streets in Australia.

All Heritage Cottages offer unique and charming layouts, and have been refurbished within the constraints of the heritage regulations. Cottages are self-contained and fully equipped with a TV, lounge, heater, linen, cutlery, crockery and gas BBQ.

Standard

Ideal for family and friends, Standard holiday units have smaller sitting / dining areas and are suitable for up to 4 guests.

Standard accommodation comprises of a separate bathroom and toilet, open plan kitchen, living area and an enclosed courtyard perfect for enjoying warm sunny days. Accommodation is close to the sea without having a direct view over the water.

Standard accommodation is located in Bathurst and South Thomson Bay.

Accommodation is self-contained and fully equipped with a TV, lounge, heater, linen, cutlery, crockery and gas BBQ.

Chalet

The timber-clad Chalet is unique on Rottnest and located in North Thomson Bay.

This cosy house has 2 bedrooms (a main bedroom with zipped king-sized bed and a second bedroom with 2 single beds) and 1 bathroom and comes complete with a fully equipped kitchen and living area. The Chalet is self-contained and fully furnished with a TV, lounge, heater, linen, cutlery, crockery and gas BBQ.
