September School Holidays Program

There's no better place to have some school holiday fun than Rottnest Island!

Rottnest Island is pleased to offer a program packed full of fun during the September school holidays, promising to leave the kids feeling as happy as a Quokka.

You can also fill your days by catching a movie at the historic Picture Hall, having a round of mini-golf at the Family Fun Park or catching a joy ride on the historic Captain Hussey Train which runs from the Settlement to the Oliver Hill Gun & Tunnels, not to mention exploring our incredible beaches and bays, and meeting the local wildlife. Hire a bike and snorkel equipment from Pedal & Flipper then pack up an island map from the visitor centre to guide you.

Keen to make the most of the picturesque beaches while staying (mostly) dry? Hop on an adventure boat tour with Rottnest Express (suitable for kids over the age of 4).

For more land-based adventures, you can't beat a tour on a revolutionary set of wheels with Segway Tours WA (suitable for kids over the age of 12).

For a more insightful look through Rottnest Island's rich history, take a walk around Wadjemup Museum. Discover a range of exhibits including 40,000-year-old artefacts, whale bones and the Lighthouse Keeper’s jacket.
