Popular self contained options include the charming heritage-listed cottages and beachside villa style accommodation at the Rottnest Island Authority Holiday Units. Complete with linen, TV and cooking facilities, there is also a range of additional goods available for hire from the visitor centre if required.

If you prefer to stay in fully serviced accommodation, you will find all you need at the recently refurbished Hotel Rottnest or the Rottnest Lodge.
 
Kingstown Barracks offers Rottnest Island accommodation for those holidaying in Western Australia (WA) on a smaller budget. Here, you can stay in dormitory style accommodation or in the hostel.

Ballot information

A ballot for unit accommodation is held for the Western Australian school holiday period. To secure Rottnest Island accommodation during the school holidays in Western Australia (WA), check out the Ballot information page. Periods outside the ballot can be booked up to 12 months in advance.
