Rottnest Island Authority undertakes recruitment for employees with the right skills in a wide range of professions and roles, including:

• Mainland Office (Victoria Quay, Fremantle):
  Management, Administration, Finance, Policy, Marketing and Events, Central Reservations, Information Services and Records.
• On Rottnest Island:
  Rooms and Guest Services, Coach Captains, Education Services, Rangers, Environment Staff, Bike Hire Administration and Operations.

The majority of the staff based on the Island commute to work by ferry every day, with limited residential positions on Rottnest Island.
