Functions

Rottnest Island is a great location for corporate events, team building activities, workshops and retreat-style conferences. The unique Island setting, combined with a choice of meeting and conference facilities, accommodation and dining has made Rottnest Island the conference and meeting choice of organisations including:

  • Ecotourism Association of Australia
  • Conservation Breeding Specialists Group
  • The Australian Institute of Company Directors

Rottnest Island function facilities

The Rottnest Island Authority manages two function facilities - Peacock Inn at Kingstown Barracks and the Picture Hall in the Thomson Bay Settlement. Special discounts may apply to school and community groups.

Rottnest Island Country Club and Conference Centre

The Country Club has been newly renovated and features a large meeting room, a downstairs breakout space, cutting-edge conference equipment and an outside alfresco area. The Rottnest Island Country Club can hold seminars and conferences for up to 100 people and is the perfect venue for your next function.

Peacock Inn (Kingstown)

The Peacock Inn is suitable for groups of 25 - 40 people. This is an appropriate venue for a small conference, workshop or meeting.  The venue is equipped with: TV, video, fridge, sink, running water, 2 toilets near by, undercover outdoor veranda area, whiteboard, and chairs.

Picture Hall

The Picture Hall is suitable for groups of 50-250. This is an appropriate venue for a conference, workshops, meetings and functions. The venue is equipped with: lectern, mircrophone, small PA system, chairs, trestle tables, canvas deck chairs, and message board. Whiteboard, TV/Video and overhead projector are also available for hire.

Other island function facilities

In addition to the RIA managed facilities described above, The Hotel Rottnest and the Rottnest Lodge both offer a range of facilities for your conferencing and function requirements, and may be contacted directly for enquiries or bookings.

Hotel Rottnest

Hotel Rottnest can hold conferences and meetings for 10 to 70 people and functions for up to 250 people. As well as meeting rooms, the hotel has 18 accommodation rooms, Hampton's Bar and Chargrill and Captain Jacks lounge bar.

Aristos Waterfront Rottnest

Aristos can host between 120 (indoors) and 200 guests for functions.

Aristos Seafood Banquets are ideal for group bookings seeking a memorable seafood dining experience. Platters are created to reflect the freshest and most premium ocean produce of the season. Aristos Banquet dining is for those who enjoy seafood decadence. Seasonal vegetarian or red meat alternatives can be prepared on an individual basis for those who do not eat seafood. 

The Rottnest Lodge

The Rottnest Lodge can hold conferences, meetings and functions for up to 150 people. As well as facilities for seminars and conferences, the lodge offers holiday accommodation and resort style facilities.
