Celebrate NAIDOC Week on Wadjemup / Rottnest Island with a cultural learning experience designed for children.

Led by Koorda’s Crew, this engaging workshop invites children to connect with Noongar culture through storytelling, guided exploration and creative activities inspired by Country.

The morning begins with an Acknowledgement of Country and Sand Ceremony, before a guided walk through the settlement, where children will learn about native plants, their Noongar names and traditional uses, and visit the cultural koornt (mia mia) structure.

Children will then create their own artwork using natural materials collected during the walk in a hands-on creative workshop, before enjoying some light refreshments.

This free workshop is recommended for primary school-aged children. Registration is essential, as places are limited.

All children must be accompanied by a parent or carer for the duration of the workshop.
