The Longest Day of Golf returns to Rottnest Island for 2026, bringing a three-day fundraising event to Rottnest Island Golf Club

Participants will take on endurance rounds of golf from dawn to dusk, all in support of Cancer Council WA. The event combines competitive and social play across the weekend, culminating in a Sunday Ambrose. 

Not playing? Come along to cheer on the golfers and enjoy the clubhouse atmosphere while supporting a great cause. 

Admission is free to spectators.

Friday 13 November 2026 – The Longest Day - Tournament  
  • 54-hole tournament with 18 holes warm up. 
  • Participants must have a Golf ID, Official Handicap and meet minimum game requirements 
  • Limited to 27 participants 
  • Teams of 3 (team arranging available for those entering as a pair or individual)  
  • Prizes for novelties, individuals and team. 
  • Minimum fundraising per participant = $500 
  • Session times 5 am – 7 pm
Saturday 14 November 2026 - The Longest Day – Non-competitive  
  • 72, 54-or 36-hole players  
  • Open to anyone  
  • Limited to 36 participants  
  • Novelty prizes only  
  • Minimum fundraising per participant = $500  
  • Session times 5 am – 7 pm
Sunday 15 November 2026 – 18-hole Ambrose Event  
  • Teams of 4  
  • One player per team must have a Golf ID and Official Handicap  
  • Limit to 22 teams  
  • Session times 9 am – 3 pm

Rottnest Island Golf Course is tucked away behind the main settlement towards The Basin and is easily accessible on a 10-minute walk or short bike ride.
