Where to find Rottnest Rentals

You’ll find Rottnest Rentals inside the Salt Store, which also houses Island Gypsy. The Salt Store is conveniently located a short walk from the main jetty and Visitor Centre, just before the Thomson Bay settlement mall.

You can collect and return your hire equipment to Rottnest Rentals inside the Salt Store. Please note all gear must be returned by 4 pm at the end of your hire period.

Pre-bookings online guarantees availability. Walk-ups are welcome, but please note that popular items can book out.

Absolutely! The child size full-face snorkel masks (for ages six and up) come with safety valves and easy-release straps. Every mask is also cleaned with marine-safe sanitiser after each hire.

Of course, that’s exactly what it’s designed for! Just remember that all items must be returned by 4 pm, so allow enough time to travel back to the Salt Store if you’ve ventured far.

Normal wear and tear is covered in your hire fees and will not incur any further charges. For lost items, replacement fees do apply. Check Rottnest Rental’s terms and conditions before hiring.

Yes, a credit card pre-authorisation is required. Please note that cash deposits are not accepted.
