Visitor Centre

Rottnest Island Visitor Centre is located in Thomson Bay near the Main Jetty.

Ask the helpful and friendly staff for maps and information about attractions, tours, bus services, bike hire and mooring rentals.

If you are staying in Rottnest Island Authority accommodation you can check in at the Visitor Centre from 2pm daily.

For non-accommodation related queries, such as renting a mooring, or booking a ticket to one of our many and varied attractions, you can avoid the queues by visiting our dedicated Booking Booth, located on the outside of the Visitor Centre on the north side.

Lost Property Service

The Visitor Centre also runs a lost property service. If you have lost any valuable items on the Island, you can register your lost property by completing a Lost and Found Property Form or check to see if your lost item has been handed in.

Lockers are available for hire and are located behind the Visitor Centre, in the outside corridor. The lockers accept card or coin payment and can be accessed by a self-service touch screen.

• Small locker (suitable for phone charging) $3 for 3hrs
• Medium lockers $7 for 13hrs, or $10 for 24hrs
• Large lockers $9 for 13hrs, or $12 for 24hrs

There are additional lockers located at Pedal & Flipper and the Kingstown Hostel.

Equipment Transfer Service

Kayaks, paddle boards and fishing rods can be transferred from the Main Jetty to accommodation units for an additional charge of $12.50 per item each way. There is no need to pre-book. Simply bring the article to the end of the jetty opposite the Welcome sign and drop into the Visitor Centre to pay for your labels.
