Where to find Rotto Rickshaws

All tours depart and return to the Rotto Rickshaw Hub near Dome Cafe in Thomson Bay, just a short walk from the Visitor Centre and main jetty.

No pedalling is required! These electric-assisted rickshaws let you sit back, relax, and enjoy the views while your guide does the work.

Each rickshaw features front and rear-facing seats and can accommodate up to five passengers. For comfort and safety, the recommended maximum is:

  • Two adults and two children; or
  • Three adults (combined total weight not exceeding 300 kg)

Up to six rickshaws can also travel together as a single tour, making it perfect for families or small groups to share the experience.

Yes. To ensure a safe and stable ride, each rickshaw has a maximum weight of 100 kg per passenger and a combined total weight not exceeding 300 kg.

Each tour lasts approximately 90 minutes and includes time for a few scenic stops along the way.

For safety and comfort, rickshaws are suitable for children aged three and above. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.

Each rickshaw is equipped with a clear rain cover, so tours can continue in light rain. However, if weather conditions become unsafe, such as high winds, lightning, or heavy rain, tours will be rescheduled.

Yes. Private charters are available for weddings, events, or group outings. Larger groups can also be accommodated, with multiple rickshaws travelling together to create a shared experience.

Small bags and backpacks are welcome on the tour. However, large luggage items and eskies cannot be carried on board. Please leave these items in your accommodation or in the lockers available behind the Visitor Centre.
