Oliver Hill Closure

Oliver Hill Precinct will be closed to all public and tours Tuesday 6 June to maintenance.

The West End of Rottnest Island will be closed from 29 May 2023 until late July 2023. Cathedral Rocks will remain open with an alternative access route via the Mabel Cove walking trail. For more information visit the Rottnest Island Authority website.

Quokka Coaches operate insightful tours and convenient shuttle services around the island to connect you where you need to go.

Enjoy Wadjemup at your own pace with a scenic bus ride, jumping on and off at 19 different stops around the island. Stops along the way include iconic beaches, bays and attractions, like Wadjemup Lighthouse and the wild West End.

Prefer to explore with the commentary of a knowledgeable guide? Join one of Quokka Coaches’ tour groups. In the comfort of an air-conditioned bus, you’ll be taken to all the island’s highlights, including Wadjemup Lighthouse, Henrietta Rocks, Cape Vlamingh and the expansive lookout point at Cathedral Rocks. All major habitats are covered on these two tours, which vary in duration and detail to suit the island experience you’re seeking.

Tickets are available for purchase online or from the ticket kiosk at Main Bus Stop between the hours of 8:30 am and 3 pm every day.

Island Explorer Hop-On-Hop-Off Bus

This service allows you to explore at your own pace, with the opportunity to jump on and off at 19 different stops around the island.

Service operates Monday to Sunday between 9 am and 3 pm (at 45-minute intervals).

Bayseeker Island Tour

This 1.75-hour tour connects you to the best of Wadjemup. All major habitats are covered, including cultural and historical heritage, plus many beautiful bays and beaches.

Tour departs Monday to Sunday at 10:45 am and 1:45 pm.

Grand Island Tour

This in-depth 4-hour tour (by historic train and bus) takes you to all the island’s iconic attractions. It also explores major habitats and delves deeper into Wadjemup’s maritime, colonial and military history, with ample time to stop for a light lunch (provided).

Tour departs Saturday and Sunday only at 10:45 am and 11:30 am.
